Kigali Serena Hotel wins World Tourism Award

The Serena Hotel in Kigali (5 stars) which has a 2nd branch in the city of Rubavu (Kivu Serena Hotel), received the first World Prize in Tourism “The World Travel Awards”. It thus surpasses other hotels in all countries in quality services.

The “World Travel Awards” have been rewarding professionals in the tourism industry every year since 1993 for the work done. This year the awards ceremony for Africa and the Indian Ocean took place in the Seychelles Islands.

“This prize awarded to Seychelles is the result of the effort of each member of staff at Hotel Serena. This is why we are going to strengthen the capacities of the Hotel and its staff so that the winning Hotel maintains its performance”, promised Mahmud Janmohamed, CEO of Serena Hotel in Africa.

For his part, Charles Muia, representative of the Kigali Serena Hotel branch, believes that this award symbolizes high value at the global level thanks to the daily performance of their work visible to the face of the world. “Now we will build capacity in the buildings and equipment of the Hotel in order to provide better services to more beneficiaries”, he stressed.
